In Santa Barbara, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across California do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (805) 962-0777. I really enjoyed the restaurant! I got the Pasta Di Mare for dinner and Phyllo Crisp for dessert. It was delicious. The bartender Jesse was really attentive and helpful. In the end, dinner was so good it convinced me to get dessert. Thanks to the friendly staff πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ Love, Frenchie

Toma Restaurant was such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. The vibe was perfect, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere that made the whole evening feel special. The ambiance was beautiful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but that’s part of its charmβ€”it’s cute, welcoming, and has Italian vibes all the way through. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and highly recommend!

We went to Toma because of the high number of reviews and strong rating, expecting a great experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that at all. We ordered the tuna cones, truffle pasta, short rib, and calamari. The short rib felt like it had been sitting under a heaterβ€”dry and tough, not fresh or tender at all. The shrimp on the pasta was noticeably undercooked, which is a basic issue that shouldn’t happen at a place with this reputation. Overall, the food quality didn’t match the hype. This place seems to be rated much higher than it should be. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you’re expecting a top-quality dining experience. Don’t get fooled by the number of reviews or the star ratingβ€”this is not a top-tier restaurant.

We had a great dinner and experience at Toma. We sat at the bar and it was surprisingly very comfortable with seat backs and a bar for our feet. The bartender was very nice and did a great job serving us. Our favorite thing we ordered was the calarmi, scallop, shrimp appetizer. The breading was seasoned delicious! I ate every piece. We also got the garlic bread with cheese and I thought it was okay. My husband really liked it but I thought it could taste more fresh. I like that it came with marinara sauce. For the entrees, I got the shrimp and scallop duo and my husband got the seafood pasta. Both were very yummy and the seafood was cooked perfectly. The only thing we’d change is both were swimming in butter. Which while butter can really enhance a dish, it was too much and made it feel overly greasey. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d go back
